Brenda,
You have received advice from several people on the forum. I am not going to tell you how to start your engine ,BUT I do want to give you a very important warning. You are not a mechanic and you are probably a novice around mowers. DO NOT pick up the wheels off the ground until you have...
As Rivets stated. You have a coil problem. Check spark when it dies. After it cools off it will work again.
If it runs for 20 minutes fuel is not your problem and I doubt if the filter is causing trouble either.
Hi,
I go by Bbirder and I'm a great lover of the old Bolens machines. I used and rebuilt an model 1476 for many years and loved it. This was a horse and I used it for many heavy jobs and it never let me down. It has been put out to pasture now but I came across a model 1050 in excellent...
Hey Guys,
I'll solve your problem for you. Go to Amazon and search for a product called "Flat Out". It contains kevlar and is used by the military in everything from trucks to airplanes. It is not slimy and can be washed out with water if tire needs to be dismounted. They claim one application...

Tim,
I don't have a dog in this fight, but you lost this one buddy. You bragging about your degree and occupation just shows your immaturity. You also seem to have a temper issue. What did you expect for your parts changing diagnosis----A trophy!.
I would never use the green slime product but I have used a product called Flatout with great success.. Check out the literature. I purchase it on Amazon..It has Kevlar fibers in it and it is all the Military uses on everything that rolls.
Thanks for waking me up. I know that could cause me problems but I turned a blind eye wanting to use it. I'm shutting it down today before I need a cam or crank to repair. If that should happen it becomes a parts engine. I thought of changing engines but was wondering if I replace a 23hp engine...
Thanks for the replies. I'll get the numbers by this afternoon. Engine has perhaps 200 hrs in UTV with no hr meter. New carb installed. Starts and runs well except engine wants to run away, Gov adjusted as per book. Temp fix to operate around the house is a spring I installed pulling gov lever...
