Don't try testing to prove or disprove. Compression release on many engines works off of the valve settings. Won't attempt to explain at this time. Adjust your valve settings and crank her up. Your best bet to solve your problem and save your battery!

I don't have a dog in this fight, but you lost this one buddy. You bragging about your degree and occupation just shows your immaturity. You also seem to have a temper issue. What did you expect for your parts changing diagnosis----A trophy!.
I would never use the green slime product but I have used a product called Flatout with great success.. Check out the literature. I purchase it on Amazon..It has Kevlar fibers in it and it is all the Military uses on everything that rolls.
Thanks for waking me up. I know that could cause me problems but I turned a blind eye wanting to use it. I'm shutting it down today before I need a cam or crank to repair. If that should happen it becomes a parts engine. I thought of changing engines but was wondering if I replace a 23hp engine...
