Thanks for the advice. I checked the spark plug and replaced it and changed the oil and filter. I think there was too much oil in the crank case cuz the smoke is gone now.

Looks white to me.

The engine on my lawn tractor starts and runs okay. After running for a bit the engine stutters and a huge cloud of smoke blows out the exhaust, then it recovers and I mow for a few minutes and it does it again. Any ideas on what is going on? Blown head gasket? Piston rings worn? Help please
