    06 Honda Mower HRX217HXA Transmission Cable(Change Cable)

What I would call the transmission cable(Honda calls it the change cable) end broke off the transmission lever on the transmission! So it appears that oblong piece that goes over the transmission lever is the weak link. Anything common to be aware of here or any type of mod to improve the life...

06 Honda Mower HRX217HXA blade clutch out

I noticed that my blade took a long time to spool up. So I pulled the plugwire and turned off the fuel so I could lay it on its side and hand turn the blade. With the clutch not engaged the blade turned fairly freely and when the clutch was engaged there was a metal scrapping noise. I have a...

Echo CS680 Chainsaw - spike bumper

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering what was behind the hole as I was thinking if there was a possibility of drilling and tapping the hole deeper to use a longer bolt. The case looks like it would become to thin after drilling for a helicoil or time sert type repair so I am thinking your...

Echo CS680 Chainsaw - spike bumper

Was servicing my saw and found that the upper screw for the bumper spike had come loose and egged out the screw hole, so it does not tighten down anymore. So anyone else found a fix for this other then replacing the whole crankcase?

06 HRX217HXA recoil is getting oily

Hi everyone, had this mower since new and its starting to have some problems. First off notice that the cage for the recoil is starting to get oily. Would this be the failure of the upper crank seal? If so can someone provide steps or a link to how to replace it.

    2006 HRX217HXA drive issue

Ok I received all my parts , the factory service manual & the new cable has improved the slow mower speed. It now travels at normal speed like it did when new but to achieve that I did have to use all the adjustment. So that would indicate the hydro drive is heading towards the end of its life...

Honda HRX217HXA hard to make right turns.

When you try to make a turn to the right after reaching the end of the yard the mower just wants to go straight. If you lift the front and try to force it to the right the right rear wheel just skids as its locked up during that maneuver. No problem to the left, pulling the mower straight back...
