Straight wired but is fused at 5 amps. Nothing has changed as far as wiring since

third new clutch after about on hour of use, coil overheats, melts, and is toast. no rubbing, not voltage problems, this is on a older gravley and the clutch is straight wired to the battery. volts vary from about 12- 13.5 HELP
