Forget the clean & pack it full of grease & reassemble..

Mine are all clean now. I just used my air hose with rubber hose extension, & 1/2" paint brush. No chemicals, DRY clean.. Easy as it is only 20 hours from BFN.. ( to the OP, sorry for the sidetrack)...

MParr- Yes outside only.. Was concerned about any seals etc.. My HG 2800's do not have the external fluid reserviors, like they used to. But have a sintered type Breather / filter on top of each unit... As well as fill cap nut & full level bolt hole too. Getting pretty hot, so making sure...

Would Brake-Kleen be good to use to spray clean the hydros ?

Sounds like your machine does not have external reservior contailer shared with both sides, like they used to. Yes ?

John Deere is sold in Lowes & Home Depot, plus I suspect other big box stores as well.. Haven't seen any Simplicitys' in any big box stores. Neighbor has a Simplicity Zero 42" w/Briggs engine. That engine weeps oil from every possible place there is a gasket.. I know, I service it with him...

Cusser- Just add a cheap tow-ball hitch like I have pictured here on mine, that's how I pull our wagon & etc. Handle slips right over the ball.. I did same on my Craftsman decades ago as well.

Mudhole- Know that your tires will likely be over or under-inflated. When corrected per yer owners manual specs, you can check the deck for proper adjustment.. And the cutting height setting, that can be off by approx 1/2" give or take.. But easy adjustments. Measure from Blade tips to flat...

Welcome Aboard- Toro has been around for about 108 years.. I had my Timecutter 4260 for 7 years, it never had an issue,..

Not me, the neighbor has a Stihl, & was fighting the head, so I recommended he swap to a Speed-Feed 400, & after he got the parts helped him swap it.

Boy that says it right there.....................

I'm probably older than you, but (IMO) common sense would dictate that pedal could be usable for anything that seems helpful.. And I'm out on this thread..

My Dealer puts 20w-50 in every new Kawasaki engine. So being on new machine, I do too. Bought oil & filters off him when I took delivery.. So I have receipts from the Dealer. And am gonna stick with that weight of oil. After warranty I will likely jump to Valvoline VR-1.... But wouldn't use...

Yes same here, but have had incidents where the ball was not noticed till it was gonna be mowed over.. Then I back up & p/up ball & mow clean at same height, of course.. I'm cutting @ 4.5" tall on Fescue.
