Briggs and Stratton alternate motor for Agrifab Lawn Vac

Well, it was the crank that broke. I'm guessing it let go when it was shut down. There is no other damage; it looks like the only metal (no aluminum) in the case is from pulling the cord.

Briggs and Stratton alternate motor for Agrifab Lawn Vac

Thanks for the reply I can almost guarantee the crank broke, output will spin until I stop it with my hand and the other side is still turning. There were maybe 5 hours on the oil and has never used any, I'm assuming it's a splash system the level is correct and the lot is relatively flat so...

Briggs and Stratton alternate motor for Agrifab Lawn Vac

Thanks for Thanks for the reply and the part number, AgriFab said they have a replacement motor for $400 plus $50 for shipping but that's more than I want to spend. Luckily I have until next season to figure it out.

Briggs and Stratton alternate motor for Agrifab Lawn Vac

I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 900 Intek series 205cc (122012 0 140 B8) motor that I believe has broken the crank inside the case. It did not have a catastrophic failure; it was running fine. I shut it off and went to start it, and there was a clunking noise when I...

Rebuilt engine hard to turn over, but then loosens up?

Come on people if you're going to respond to someone's question, at least take the time to read everything, especially when it is numerous pages of posts. As stated by the OP several times this has been solved with the OP commenting on his progress since day one. And to top things off most of...

    Hustler idler pulley .bearing replacement

StarTech, any idea why this is considered an upgrade, is it a better bearing or because it allows water and grass to fall thru. Mine is solid with 2 holes for water drain down, I've never had a problem with grass build-up and anytime it has been washed I engage the blades and spin the mower in...

    Hustler idler pulley .bearing replacement

StarTech I'm being a tightwad? thank you, it seemed to me replacing an old bearing with a quality bearing on a good pully made sense. With the informative comments made by others, I have realized that the welded/ sandwich design it no longer does. Yes I did replace one with an aftermarket (I'm...

    Hustler idler pulley .bearing replacement

bertsmobile1 thanks for the reply it has been helpful, none of my pulleys have rivets, but looking at one of the sides it does appear to have many very small spot welds, explaining the appearance of smaller bearings. That being said it is not practical to change the bearings.

    Hustler idler pulley .bearing replacement

Hello, I have a 2009 Super Z, XR7 60" deck, I replaced one of the deck idler pulleys (assembly), a few weeks ago with an aftermarket replacement. The pully was in good shape so that had me thinking, could I just replace the bearings for less than an assembly? which leaves me with 2 issues. I...

Hydraulic oil service overdue? Recommendations and best practice

I was at first but I have had the mower from 2015 and I do not believe they have added grease once, and who knows how long before I got it, really disappointed in the quality of service, I had another dealer (a different brand) that did not have anything good to say about them (which surprised...

Hydraulic oil service overdue? Recommendations and best practice

Bkeller500 appreciate the response, the mower will stay as long as it lasts has one relay go bad, and now the deck bearings that I am replacing, and maintenance will be on me going forward.
