Connecticut Shooting

I have been following the shooting in a Connecticut school and my heart goes out to all involved.

I pray those killed are at peace and that the survivors have the strength to go on after what they have experienced today.

It is tragic and why did it happen? I do not know, but I am hoping we will find out, not that ANYTHING would condone the actions of the wretched man who took so many lives.

It is major news here all around the U.S. This is NOT the first shooting recently..sadly! I don't think they know why he did it, but it is just sad! 27 others killed, 20 of them children. :frown::confused3:

From what I've heard I think he wanted to kill his mother (one of the teachers) but after he shot her he shot 20 children as well.

Reports are that he also killed his father at his home.

I agree it needs to be stopped, but I don't believe you can stop it. Even with gun control laws you can't stop it.

Yes, he did shoot his mother, 20 kids, and 6 other teachers (including the principal of the school).
The news said another family member was killed at a different location, so it would make sense that it's his dad (like you said).

The other family member that was killed at a different location was his mother who was the registered owner of the Sig and Glock. She was an avid gun collector and even took her son to the gun ranges to shoot. The father hasn't been mentioned on MSNBC

What a step-mother or something? Because his MOTHER (a teacher) was killed at the school I thought.

No his mother hand no affiliation with the schools. That's what they said at first but the school board of directors said she did not even appear in any of there data bases the superintendent said she had no affiliation with the school. At least that's what has come over msnbc.

I live In southern RI and i am surprised that the schools here didnt go into an automatic lockdown. since i live somewhat close. also his mother wasnt a teacher. he went to her house specifically and shot her then to the school.
