Safe to store new engine with "Break-in" oil over the winter ?

As posted above, would it be safe to leave the Break In oil in a new mower engine thru winter till it gets it's 8 hours on for early oil & filter change.

Thank You Sir, My concern was no anti-corrosion additives in the break in oil, cause I'm am on the fence, but thinking (too much) about grabbing a 2018 leftover 48" Liberty with Kawasaki. But not being able to use it till next season.

Here they stay in the showroom till sold.
 
Most engines last longer than the useful life of the machine itself, even if neglected somewhat.
Making sure the oil level is proper and changed now and then should be the main concern.

Not quite right there
Detergent oils are used in engines that have a replacable oil filter
Non detergent oils are used that do not have oil filters
Detergents are there to hold the contaminats in a fine dispersion so the filter can pull them out and not get blocked.
Engine without filter require the contaminats to join together into big blobs and fall out of solution to the bottom of the sump , a process that is called sludging.

Anything else you might think detergents do is GARBAGE and the results of PIG IGNORANT advertising agencies spreading bull dust to convince you to buy a particular oil.
Detergent & dispersants are the same thing and yes the stuff under your sink called "detergent" is a Ph modifier , degreaser & dispersant

The above are 10 web links talking about non-detergent vs. detergent. Link 10 is from Briggs and Stratton. I believe they have made a few engines and know the proper oil to use.

Here are quotes from link 10.

"We recommend the use of Briggs & Stratton Warranty Certified oils for best performance. Other high-quality detergent oils are acceptable if classified for service SF, SG, SH, SJ or higher. Do not use special additives."

"Use a high quality detergent oil classified "For Service SF, SG, SH, SJ" or higher."
