Hi - my name is Brian and I own a STIHL FS 25 Kombi (strimmer and hedge cutter) + a STIHL chain saw and STIHL stone cutter. I also have a Mountfield lawn mower.

Re: Welcome to the Stihl Forum memebers

I have retired to the center of France with my son and together we run a smallholding and our FS400 cutter is a very important tool for us. For ten years it has put up with abuse and a lot of work but now it is in the doldrums and needs a new lease of life, which we hope to find on this forum.

Hi! Dave from Indy here.

I had a neighbor so fed up with trying to get a Stihl FS 45 string trimmer running, he gave it to me. A shop charged him $35 and it was no better.

I help maintain a local mountain bike trail and I hope to get my FS 45 up and running so that I can help out with at the trail.

See you in the Stihl forum.

JUST enough

Hello! Name is George, and I have JUST enough equipment to take care of my 1/2 acre lawn! Of course, a guy can always use more! OK, I actually mow a couple acres of vacant lot, mostly to keep down the R.O.U.S.'s (Rodents of Unusual Size), but I did before I had the tractor. I have a few back issues and could no longer dig, or shovel snow, hence, the tractor, though the backhoe stays off of it most of the time. Not really new to the thread, just thought I would post the picture.

Not pictured: dethatcher, lawn sweeper, 70's Troy built tiller, and several chain saws.

Thanks, took me nearly 2 years to pull the trigger on that one, but then I just used good, sound, logic.

My neighbor has a Bobcat and would always come shove the snow out of my driveway. He never charged me a dime, BUT I gave him a $100.00 box of cigars every spring.

I craftily calculated, that if I had to do that for 170 years, that would equal the cost of the tractor!!

You've just GOT to suss these things out for yourself!

That's good enough reasoning for me. Haha

GREETINGS to all Stihl equipment owners!

If you're new to the forum, please reply to this thread and introduce yourself and your Stihl power tools (that is, if your mower has a name). Maybe attach a photo or two of your equipment.

Also, if you haven't done so already, you can upload a user avatar (picture under your user name). You can do so by clicking on settings and "edit avatar" or just click here.

Please be helpful and friendly to all other Stihl owners (how could you not, right?) and if you like this forum, tell your friends about it.

We want to make this the best resource for Stihl owners, and to do that we need your help! Questions? Experiences? Stories? Data? Photos? Articles? Links? Cool Stihl stuff? Post it here!

Last but not least, please let me know if you have any suggestions for the site. We'd love to hear them.

Hello Muhammad. I have a few stihl chainsaws, a backpack blower, and a string trimmer. Having problem with one of the saws and trying to figure out how this forum thing works. Am new to this kind of thing (forum) I mean.
