The starter solenoid is new, the mower's owner replaced it. He brought me the old one too, and it works just fine.

Problem is that 12 volts is not getting to the solenoid to energise it.

The key switch needs to be checked. Do you have the wiring schematic?

14 degrees here and getting colder. They say we will have below zero wind chills all weekend. I have to change my wife's front struts this weekend. One is broken in half. Too darn cold for this schit. I need a wool lined garage. That way when I sit down to work on it my toochie will not be cold.
