With valves adjusted, oil/filter changes, and keeping clean around the cooling fins and fan; these engines will easily run 3000-4000 hours. Poor maitenence kills most of these engines prematurely. gregjo1948

Suppose this falls under maintenance but fixing oil leaks asap is critical, especially those under the shroud.
