the engine is a B&S I/C GOLD model

What you need to give is model, type and code of engine.
It should be stamped on the blower housing.

It's the housing covering the engine.

Here is the Briggs part number you need. #691842. You can take this number to any repair shop and they should be able to get it for you.

while your at it i may need another part. it is a plastic L shaped part that fits over a nipple on the carb. and the fuel line is attached to it. the manuel says it is part 611. any hope for a part number on this one ?
