my 2002 craftsman lt1000 has a bad tranny [4360-140].....grinds like a mother!.......pulled it out today and found a gear cluster bushing broke in half [see picture]and all the little bits floating in the grease....the big bevel gear rounded [see picture]...compared to the good gear on another...

for $30 i got my mtd seat done with marine vinyl at an auto upholstery place:thumbsup:....much better than the $130 for a new one with the same crap factory vinyl....since this is such a common problem with mowers/tractors....its nice to know theres an alternative...next seat... my new lt1000...
