HONDA Engines

Boobala;262345parts and MANUALS are EVERYWHERE ... so HONDA is great for us DIY guys ...[/QUOTE said:
Boo,

I agree 100%. Our company installed hundreds of generator systems over the years, from large ones using Ford ten cylinder engines to Kohler 12KW units using their own engines. However, if folks called me and asked what they should buy for a smaller (say 5-6KW) unit, I always advised they purchase one from Northern Tool. Their "NorthStar" units all use Honda engines and will last a long-long time. We have one here at our house that is right around 15 years old and has often run for several days at a time when we lose power and has never failed to operate as smoothly as it did when it was brand new. Sure I try to provide good maintenance, but that never includes more than an oil change and a new spark plug. Honda makes great engines.

Memorial Day Video

I hope this isn't considered to be political. It certainly isn't intended to be, at least not by me.. I'm just proud to be an American and proud to be a Veteran. I'll be marching in our local Memorial Day Parade this year along with 100 other Vets. Someday, assuming I ever find the time to build it, I hope to have a submarine float to take in the parade, but it won't be this year.

I hope you all have a great Memorial Day and remember those who have given their all so that we might be free!

[I'm FABULOUS for an ol' thing ...

Boo-Boo,

I know I kinda took your sentences out of context here (and may have even added a word or two), but I am glad to hear you're still kickin'... You know you're also supposed to add at least one comment a day here, and view this thread at least 150 times a day, so if I open it up an additional 150 times a day, then everyone will still think we are getting a couple thousand views a week! . . . LOL

Boo,

Who's graves are you wanting to pee on? You kinda lost me on that one..

Hey! Thanks to you and the other guys living down South that have been trying to send warm weather this way... It WORKED!!! We had sun all day Tuesday, all day Wednesday and then yesterday the temperature hit 86 degrees right here along the coast and I hear it got even hotter inland! I mean ninety-degrees in Maine in May! Holy mackerel! I was nice and cool though, as I spent most of the middle part of the day floating around in the bay with a dead Evinrude E-Tec.. Before I malign the engine, I have to admit that the neighbors boat somehow got lots of water in it's built-in fuel tank, but that has fouled the injectors and we have to take it to the dealers this morning. No lobster fishing today!! I think it's supposed to rain anyway..

Those graves are those of the people who has have screwed me over in the past , AND a lot of POLITICIANS .... ( can't go there )
actually it's a figure of speech to demonstrate dislike of a particular S.O.B.

As for that E-Tec ...YOU ... around boats n fishermen for how long..???? and you get stranded !!! I sent you a private E-mail
on your puter about my opinion on that issue... anybody in Maine ever heard of a WATER-SEPARATER ..??? Also check the fuel filler neck,
the best type are the pipe-cap screw-on type ..the flush-fitting o-ring seal type aint worth the schitt theyre made from ..they leak..also the tank vents may get to be the culprit ... but even a separater has to be drained on a regular basis . Thought you could use a warm-up so enjoy it ..might even get to see some Snow-White legs in "Daisy-Maes" ..if you're lucky !!. Guess the "float" idea went back-burner
for awhile ... priorites change ya know .. BUT ..lets not delay that carb on the mower for much longer ... I'm watchin like a hawk ya know..
you don't want me to send the guys to help you with matters ...do you ..??? .. ..

Roger,

Looks like the rain you sent is on the way! According to the forecast, we're supposed to get rain Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday AND Thursday!! I was hoping it would start tomorrow and stop Monday, if it goes according to forecast I'll have to mow in the rain all week. :frown: Oh well, I guess I can't expect you to be too precise as far as timing. There are lots of things that can hold up a shipment of weather from Maine to FL... Like, well, maybe the weather!:laughing:

Prime Number...

I'm glad the rain made it down your way. It didn't rain here today like it was supposed to, so you may not get as much as they say you will. We set a record in Portland yesterday, I think it hit 93 degrees F!! That is crazy weather for Maine in May.

Keep your bumbershoot handy...
