Just purchased a 2019 XT1 LT50 FAB. I am looking for a good set of mulching blades and I am not impressed with the reviews I see online. I see some aftermarket blades that look difficult, or impossible to sharpen.

I also need a mulching plug and see issues with that also.

What works ?

Your choice of blades will very limit if the mower has the new "S" center hole.

Please the model number from the serial tag as Cub Cadet Parts look-up don't show a 2019 XT1-LT50.

Thanks for your reply.

The production date is 12/18. I assume that would be a 2019.

Model number is : 13AQA1CZ056

Yes that model comes up as 2019 model.

Okay that pulled it up showing it using the standard 17.27" blades point center star blades. Now the IPL does not show a mulching plug but the 54" Fab deck plug probably will work and it is PN 631-08129.

What CC show mulching blades are a version of the Oregon Gator blades which cutting edge is easy to sharpen. But I would lean more toward the 3n1 blade PN942-05067 for enclosed operation. Harder to sharpen but not impossible.

Thanks for all the detailed information. I guess the PN942-05067 should be the way to go.

Can‘t wait for the spring and cutting season.

Thanks again.
