Need help trying to figuring out the problem.First off the starter was shot,so i replaced it,now nothing happens when turning on the key.Can jusp starter from battery,hot wire from solenoid key switch pole to battery, engine turns over,also replaced old solenoid it was cracked.Checked all saftey swithes all are depressed,except seat switch but it was unhooked from before the starter died..Any ideas???How do you check switches to see if there good or not?? thanks ahead for the help BobMac

You can use a cheap circuit tester or an ohmeter to test your switches. Take them out if circuit and check a wiring diagram to see if they are normally open or closed. If you don't have a wiring diagram make sure there is a state change when the switch is actuated.

problem solved:wink:deck switch had one side bad,only open didn't close.installed new switch,fired right up.thanks poloman
