As Hammer & Star says
TYGON and only tygon that is branded with both the name TYGON and the product number
I get almost daily emails from vendors offering me "genuine plastic fuel lines in popular yellow colour "
A 500' roll of this is about the same as the wholesale price of a 20' roll of real Tygon from one of my local wholesalers .
And it gets more complicated as genuine petrol tube comes in more sizes than Tygon make. I think I have around 14 different sizes .
And most sizes come in 2 different wall thicknesses , thick tube for the suction line ( fuel tank to carb ) and thin walled tube for the return line to the tank.
The above is for tools that use grommets .
If it just has a hole in the case then you need heavy walled for both sides
On top of that a lot of he stuff out of China is metric where as most USA stuff uses imperial and some of the MTD stuff uses MTD specific tube in some silly 64th inch size that I can not get wholesale so I fit new carbs to them that take normal tube

I might consider buying some off a reel in an auto parts store, but off amazon or ebay, no way in the wide world and a hardwear or general store like Ace or Wally forget it .
These hand helds can and do burst into flames caused by leaking fuel lines , most commonly on chain saws

Hmm, never had any trouble on my 2 cycle equipment or any comebacks with it.

There are sellers on ebay selling kockoff line and saying it is authentic Tygon. Real Tygon has white writing on it. None of the knockoff stuff holds up. I only use Tygon F4040, OEM Honda and Echo line
Thanks. Just looked it up. Good to know there is a popular standard for this application. Is this all they do, fuel line?

hobby stores that sell small motor stuff often have various kinds of tubing that will work with different fuels.

Tygon is a trade name of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastic's and they make a myriad of specialist tubing for industrial & scientific equipment in specific grades of hardness and chemical resistance .
Tygon is the petrol & ethanol resistant tube so it will tale avgas through to 100% ethanol
And of course it is low permability , does not allow single molecules to diffuse through the sides as most tubing will do.
Again EPA regulations adding cost & complexity for zero real benefit to any one other than the tubing makers .
