Just recently became interested in lawn boys last week when I bought 7073 off the side of the road for $40.00 and it starts, runs, and cuts great! Now someone locally has another 7073 for sale for $100.00. It is supposedly used very litle with bag and runs good, but the rope is broke. Would it be worth it? Would it hurt to try to start it with a drill and socket, to be sure it runs?

It is worth what someone is willing to pay. Would I pay $100, no way. I probably would not even give anything on trade in. If you got it running maybe worth $50 if everything else is in very good condition. Remember, it is almost 25 years old.

The asking price is way high but if you could get it for about 1/3 of that, it would be a good parts mower for you. It's lucky to find one of exactly the same model.
