I have a Toro timecutter zero turn (ZTR 1844 TC2X) and the battery won't charge. The battery is charged manually and it will last about 3 cuts on a 1 acre lawn. What is the problem with the battery not charging?

Charge the battery. Install the battery. Start the unit and run at 3/4 throttle. Measure battery voltage. If battery voltage is below 13V you have a problem sme where in you charging system. If the voltage is over 13V you have a bad battery and will need to replace it.

Quick idea. Charge the battery. Find the silver box on the side of the engine, it has three wires o it usually. Pull all he wires off and reattach them. See if that resets the charging system. Do the wire pull AFTER charging the battery.
