Shindaiwa T230x wont start

well got to a job today it started ran for 30 sec and stopped i thought ok .. never done that before .. tried to restart wouldint go .. ok fitted new plug and it started and ran fine for 2-3 min then stopped again . and it wouldint restart so i shot home and picked up my back up one to finish the day

got home tonight started going over every thing it seemed to have spark be it not a great spark

put a but of fuel down the carb and it fired .. so i thought ok gave the card a clean out (was spotless in side )

put it back together and managed to get it to run for 30 sec then it died when reving just like it was turned off so checked for spark and didnt have one not that i could see any way

so i disconected the kill wire off the coil to rule that out still wont run

now it has a spark be it very weak and the plug gets wet with fuel and wont even try to fire

im picking its the coil thats stuffed but could it be some thing else??

They make a cheap tool to test your coil. All it is a spark plug with a clip on the side of it without a ground electrode. The spark has to jump about 1/4 inch. If you have this 1/4 inch spark your coil is good.
