I have a 10521 rear wheel drive. can you tell me where to find a diagram of the pinion gear and the rest, I tried the reg diagrams but they don't show which directions the dots on the pinion gears go. I tried both ways, it will free wheel withot it running, when I start it ,it mowes fine but I can't back up while it running.

You have a left and right rocking key # 11 in the schematic so make sure you have them in the right position. Another person had a similar problem and the dots doesn't make any difference. His problem was that the store gave him two keys for the same side.
