Replacing choke link B&S 17.5

Need some help replacing choke link on 32R907 0018. Little bend hooks to carb..but unsure where all the other end goes. Just through the slot? Or does it hook somewhere? Thanks!!

Goes in the slot like you have it. Lever pushes on it to cloae the choke.
