Good morning,
I'm in France and have a Massey 2924d (same as Simplicity Legacy I think), with the 24.5hp Daihatsu diesel engine. I have a couple of questions: Won't start on the key. I have power at the starter solenoid, but only about 8v. The only way I can get it to start is direct feed from the battery. Are the seat switch, front pto switch and brake switch all wired into the starter circuit? One thing that does happen is that I can get off the mower whilst the cutting deck is engaged (off the front pto) and the engine keeps running!
My second question refers to the rear pto. It rotates whenever the engine is running regardless of if the rear pto switch is engaged or not. Also, what would it drive as I don't see any accessories that would fit. I was hoping to be able to run a grass topper off it but don't see how it would be supported etc. without a 3-point hitch.
