Hi. I have an '07 Regent with a 24-horse B&S engine. It works fine when cold, but won't climb a slight incline when hot. Has anyone else experienced this?

Perhaps if you gave a few more details.

After it got hot, did the engine start to die or bog down, or was it more associated with a belt slipping or, the hydrostatic not taking the load?

Doe this happon on a grade only, or whenever a load of any kind is applied (such as turning on the mower deck, etc)? How much of a grade would you estimate, and were you able to transverse the same grade when cold; without problems?

Enigma is right, we need more info. Take a good look at the drive belt tension, both hot and cold.
