First off, Hello to everyone! I'm having an issue with my Bolens ST140 with an 18hp Briggs & Stratton. Today while mowing, I had to get off the tractor to grab a stick, so I stopped the blades, moved the stick, and when I got back on and went to re-engage the blades, nothing happened. Shut the engine down, restarted it and tried again and got nothing again. Let it sit for an hour and went back out and it worked like brand new as soon as I flipped the switch...anyone know whats going on? Thanks in advance

WELCOME to LMF...

First thing I would do is insure the electrical connections were Good. Including the Ground.
Then check the voltage to see that you have 12 volts Or More At the clutch.

If you don't find a problem, then check the clutch, if it has just a bit too much gap, it may not engage when hot.

Low voltage or bad connections will cause the clutch to slip and overheat, so check that out first. :smile:KennyV
