I ran into a few threads about this subject while researching my own issue. I believe that on yours there are 2 belts that connect to the variable speed pulley system.
There were a few responses that I saw...too loose, broken/stretched belt, too tight... etc.
Ultimately, it comes down to one of the belts failing to adequately grab the pulley and move the tractor. The fixes were:
- Adjust/repair tensioner.
- Replace belt.
- Replace bad pulley
If you have to push the drive pedal in fairly far before it starts to move the tractor, then the belt(s) are likely too loose and need tightening.
Hope that at least points you towards a possible fix.
