Got on craigslist last night at 8:55 PM and I left the house at 9:01 PM to get my new to me Edger. It was an old friend I used to work with. I knew they knew little to nothing about small engines. But they do go to lots of estate sales. Well they picked this up and could not get it running right and sold it to me for $50.00. It was at least $400.00 new but I'm guessing closer to $600.00. It has the curb jumper back wheel and movable left to right and up and down front wheel. I got up this morning and changed the oil cleaned the outside checked the spark plug and airfilter and it started first pull but surged at full rpm. Well I know what that means. Off with carb and gas tank. I found water and dirt in fuel tank. Cleaned tank and took carb apart and blew lightly with compressor through all holes. Put everything back together and pulled the cord and nothing. Moved choke to half and tried again and start she did. Had to turn choke off really fast as it almost died. Adjusted throttle to full and no more surge. Edged the driveway for test. It is a beast. I was walking fast and it did not skip a beat. I am very happy with the purchase. It is going to be worked very hard.
