Need Toro Proline 190 discontinued part

I have a 1990-94(?) hydrostaticly propelled walk behind Toro Proline 190. The connecting ball rod linkage(part # 82-4120) which connects the hydraulic pump to the steering mechanism broke. I have been told that Toro has discontinue this part (I can't believe this!!!!- mower is unusable without it). I have looked online for the part at all the big Toro parts places (e.g Jack"s Small Engine). Everyone says its not available. Any suggestions? Thanks
