This mower was a freebie, guy mowed a few times this year with it and then one day wouldn't start up. Something with the electric start components. Instead of spending more money to narrow down which electric start component was faulty I decided to buy a pull start kit and I also purchased a new carburetor. Put everything together today and 2 pulls and she fired right up and sounded strong. I went to put it in gear and wouldn't move, lifted back end and tires won't spin. The mower deck also won't engage. I think the reason for the mower deck not engaging is bc a bar hits an electric switch to engage deck and without a battery installed it probably doesn't operate. As for why it won't go into gear I'm not sure, the gear shifter does move. I'm looking for anyone to give there insight on this issue and also looking for a manual, can't find one anywhere online. Your help is appreciated, thanks!
