Hello new here I have a mower someone gave me I tryed starting it off it tryed to crank up .I put new gas in it made sure its getting gas made sure spark plug is getting fire and im a newbie at it lol. So the mower is a model 272 belle meade with a briggs stratton motor I just need some advice if anyone can help thanks.

Need engine numbers so post them up, in the meantime if you are trying to start her from the photos, them replace the bolt in the carb (put it back in). photo 2 the one that's holding the air filter on.

That wire laying next to your carb is your "kill" wire, make sure it is not touching anything. It looks like it has been upgraded to electronic ignition, if I am looking at it right. Can you take a better pic of the other side of the coil?
Heres some and wasnt sure about the wire.

Appreciate the parts list im just unsure how to get a go on this and get it to crank another question is im assuming the idler screw on the carb can be adjusted what if its not set right or how to set it. Took this in as a project the guy said it run just has been sitting up for a while its still has compression.

Well I got it to just about fire up but now every time I try it want the throttle cable is off so was working buy hand to try to get it started. I check the plug and its almost a wet plug every time .
