need air filter for SRM-200CE string trimmer(weed eater)

Hi, this is my first posting. I have a model SRM-200CE string trimmer that I purchased in 1986, I just rebuilt the carb, but need the air filter which has two bolt holes through it, and was told that the part is no longer available. Anyone know a source for these air filters? original part number was 130 310-0653 0 air filter.
Is there a way to make one?
Could I take a piece of muslim or cheese cloth and stretch it over the air filter space and bolt the cover over it?
The problem is the two bolt holes that go through it...how to seal around the two bolts that would have to go through the cheese cloth.

Can you post a pic of the bolt holes for the air filter housing. Most those older machines you can switch to the new style air box and use the newer air filter. Otherwise to stay oem you need to keep an eye on eBay or make one out of a sponge
