Hi, I am from the UK, my Hayter with Briggs Stratton year 2001, the best engine mower I have ever owned! never had one issue till last summer when I started the engine on cold running for about 10 seconds big buff of blue smoke out of the exhaust.
Now is winter season I have taken my mower to piece and inspect and I have found that the bottom of the cylinder bore wall few fine scratches which is where the oil leaked into the combust chamber.
What is the alternative?
buy new normal-size piston rings or buy the one with a 0.030" for worn cylinder wall?
Thanks
