First of all I don't know anything about engines.
I noticed in the midst of mowing that my reservoir for my magnum2750 was low, but figured it was standard while mowing and it would refill as the engine cooled. Today I turned the key once and the engine is not even trying to fire, after it turned once, it seems dead, but I hear quiet, high pitched sounds when I turn the key. Rechecked the reservoir for the motors and it is nearly empty.
I think it's obvious I need to jack it up and drain the oil for each motor. But do you think this will solve my problem, or is there something else I probably broke while mowing yesterday on a virtually empty oil reservoir. This is not for the engine, but the propulsion motors for the left and right levers.
Also, why, all of a sudden, did the reservoir drain? Does old oil burn off? Or do I have a leak? I have 83 hours of operation in 2 years, (6 months of weekly mowing each year).
