The PTO clutch assembly came off during normal operation of my LT1042. The main bolt somehow got loose and now I can't get it back in. The threads looked damaged so I tried a similar bolt but it only goes in maybe 2 turns, which is not enough, before getting real tight. It seems like the threads might be damaged inside the shaft. I was gonna try to clean them up with a tap. Otherwise, I heard of similar problems basically being labeled as "unrepairable". Any quick fixes before I call for help?
