Hi everyone.

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I have a 9 year Bolens 22 inch that has been working well. I was just mowing the lawn and the mower died on me. I checked and it was low on gas, so I filled it up (actually overfilled accidentally). When I start it now, it starts up ok and will run with no problems but when I start to mow and its actually cutting grass, then it dies on me. If I push over grass that is already cut (so that its not really mowing), it runs with no problems.

Any ideas?

TIA

I think I would remove the carb, and clean the jets/fuel pickups. It sounds like the high speed jet may be clogged. Most people don't know that even when an engine is at full engine speed, it is running on the idle circuit of the carb. Doesn't use fuel from the high speed circuit until under load.
