I have been doing research on the John Deere x300 and 500 line. It appears that John Deere makes they're own engines now for there 2012 line. They are called the I torque engines. Does anyone have complaints with these engines. Currently I have a 1997 John Deere lx 178 and would like to replace it. Please reply if you know of any problems with the i torque engines

I have heard good reviews about new JD's, so I assume they are good engines.

The ITorque engine is supposedly made by Kawasaki, but you will have to get your parts from a JD dealer, because of an agreement made between JD and Kaw.

I have L100 17.7 B&S
I cut with it and it started to stall. I stopped and engine revved back up. The, it was NASCAR time as it seemed governor went away and it was rodeo time, I stopped or it choked down, now it won't crank and a loud rumble is heard as the engine turns over. I need to compression test. Or, is there an easier way for someone who works by himself.

#2 If I buy JD again, is there still an L100 or B&S 17.5 HP
