My 2 year old Husqvarna with a 24hp Kohler engine starts intermittently. Occasionally I will turn the key and will hear the starter spin but not engage the flywheel. After several tries it eventually catches and starts but I have too big a yard to gamble with occasional starts. Full 12.5 volts on the battery so that isn't an issue. Can anyone recommend the best way for me to diagnose and what part you think might be defective?
The local shop has a 4 week backlog so that's not an option.
