How to remove seat rod on Z445?

Dead battery and positive cable is bad

I read the seat needs to be removed for access to the battery. How do I remove the rod?

Removal of the rod, is not necessary. Simply have a helper tilt the seat at roughly a 45 degree angle. You will then be able to have just enough room to remove the old battery.
