I have a craftsman lt 1000 17.5 hp model # 917273370. How do you remove the carb. bowl? It has a small plug wire attached . With no screws under it. Thanks David

The fuel solenoid should have to flat sides just below the bowl. A 1/2 wrench ground will fit the flats after some minor grinding to make the wrench thin enough to reach into the area between the bowl and the top of the solenoid.

For those who don't wish to grind down a good 1/2" wrench, tappet wrenches work great for removing fuel solenoids. Best place to find a good used one, is any good, mature, retired auto mechanic. They needed them for a long time, but now they are collecting grease.

Yes, it is called a tappet wrench. Maybe you can borrow one for the mechanic who services your car.
