Hello. I picked up an hrb216hxa with drive problems. Turns out the pinion gears were installed backwards and extremely worn (on one of them the teeth were completely worn away on half the gear). Flipped them around and the hydro is working well. Strangely the gears on the wheel side looked perfect and the treads are worn so I know the wheels aren't new. Replacement pinions are inexpensive, but wondering if any body knows how these got so worn without wearing the gears on the wheel side. Is something else wrong here?
