Having problems with charging system on Grasshopper 225. Not charging battery. Having 25 volts AC coming from the stator, but not getting to the battery?

You don't say which engine you have, but 25 volts AC is to low.

I know you've probably already looked, but there's a fuse on the fuse panel that controls charging. I forget what it's labeled, but its one of 4 that are on the panel to the right of the seat. Every once in a while, my 225 will blow that fuse.

There is also a fusible link right next to the starter with a ? 30 amp fuse in it. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with charging or not, but it is connected between the starter and battery.

I would check those two fuses before I did anything else.
