Help with Kohler part numbers

Yes, it is a Kohler Courage XT-7 on an Ariens LM21s walk behind. It has the sticking need/seat problem so I need a replacement carb.

Model : XT173-0016
Serial : 3802302978

I think the part number for the carb is 14 853 xx-S. The problem is "xx" can be anything from 01 to 47. One person told me I needed 14 853 05-S and some one else said 14 853 01-S.

Normally I can figure these things out, but I want to be certain I get a carb with the "new" needle/seat design and not another old one.

Any parts needed for Kohler can be found at http://www.kohlerplus.com
The only catch is Kohlers site (kohlerplus) only works with the Internet Explorer browser. I don't understand why, but that's what Kohler says. I haven't used it in around 6 months, perhaps they changed it.
