I was digging out an old set of fenders for a 74 Craftsman Suburban in my barn last weekend when I stumbled across an old rusty childhood treasure . My Daisy BB gun that I got for Christmas when I was 10 years old , in 1969 . I don't know how long it had been in that old crate but it was pretty knurly , so last night , while reconditioning an old shallow well pump for a project of mine , I got that old 47 year old BB gun and refurbed it , little diesel , little PB Blaster , wire brushing , hand grinder and some basic TLC and by 11:00 PM , old Daisy was popping out BB's at about 80 fps. Not enough to kill anything , but it will rouse the chickens out of the garden .
Working on getting a Solo 645 Chainsaw running , have plug issues , tried a stock plug to replace the Bosch it came with and I don't think it's hot enough . Replaced the primmer bulb and cleaned the carb. , will be checking the electric system . The trigger mechanism is broken but I don't want to full with it until I know I can get the saw running .
Too many projects , not enough time .
