Hello:

New to this forum, look forward to lots of suggestions and info from
others.

Am shopping for a new ZTR mower, cutting approximately 2. to 3 acre
lots of pine trees. Currently have a 12 yr old JD GX 345 w/ 54" Deck, has
been a good machine, but ready to move to ZTR. Any thoughts or suggestions
would be welcomed.

Am really impressed through the research I have done with the Gravely ZT - HD
consumer/pro and the ExMark units.

With a lot of pine trees, get the widest deck you can work with...
With as much left side over hang, That way you will be able to trim under the pines in a counter clockwise direction... With enough deck to the left side, you will be able to trim cleanly all around the tree with one continuous pass... definitely a big time saver... :smile:KennyV

Kenny:

Thanks for the suggestion, have never thought that, the amount of extension of the deck on the
left side would make a big difference. I am looking at a 52" deck on the Gravely ZT HD, am very
impressed with this machine, there are 5 guys at the office that have his particular model an have
nothing but rave reviews about it.

Thanks for your comments.
