Hello JD forum members,
Recently I bought a JD 1435 with a rear discharge Fastback mowing deck. I'm happy with the grass cutting ability of the Fastback, but disappointed with the mess it makes of the engine compartment and undercarriage of the tractor. For years I've used a JD F930 side discharge mowing deck and didn't have this problem.
Does anyone know if some type of shield or shroud is available that can be mounted under the 1435 tractor that would prevent grass from being thrown upward into every nook and cranny? I've thought about making some sort of shroud myself, but is there any safety issue or reason why I should not do this?
Thanks, I would really appreciate your thoughts on this!
