I have a new to me, 8157A that just busticated something internally, probably a rod.I haven't had time to check it out yet.I heard something snap and it slowly came to a halt.
Anyway,I can possibly buy an 8270 and R8237 cheap. Are these interchangeable?

Hello,

Some F series engines had a geared PTO that ran a shaft to drive the rear wheels, others used a V belt pulley. I'm not sure if your mower is even self propelled, if not then any F series engine would work.

Mine has the pulley. So I guess the older F wouldn't work.Besides, those other two are almost 10 years older!
