engine swap out

Is there a chart where you can swap out an engine that isn't good for an engine that is reliable?
Here is what I have; it is a 40cc 4-Cycle Viper Engine on an Earthquake Cultivator (tiller)
I hear nothing but bad reviews on these engines and I would like to swap it out for maybe a Briggs & Stratton.
I got this cultivator for free because of the problems. The engine runs great (so far) but is spewing oil through the carb.
I figure the best bet is just to swap out the engine.

Has anyone else had problems with this?

There is not any standard mounting pattern to the mini 4 stroke engines, therefore no swap data, or anybody making aftermarket replacement engines for those units. The main reason is cost. A replacement engine would cost as much or more than the original piece of equipment.
