Dying grass

It has been very hot in my area lately and my grass is dry brittle and brown in spots. What can I do to make it look green again short of watering the whole 2 acres myself?

I think you'd have to water it to get it to look good again. I don't know anything else that would work unless you sprayed it green.

That might sound corny, but there was a product years ago that was used on Christmas trees. It's called Greenzit. I'm not sure the spelling is right or that it's still on the market. It wouldn't do anything to make your yard healthier, but it would look better through the rest of the summer.
