Hello
I have a troybilt tb230 mower, I recently changed oil on mower by removing cover
under mower engine just below blade to get to drain plug, exposing drive belt.
I put back together and now self propulsion does not work.
Outside of removing this cover I did not touch any other part of drive system.
Belt is in excellent condition.
Can any body tell me how to fix?
Thanks

Did you take it back apart and look? Its pretty straight forward in there, my guess is the belt is off the pully or you got to much oil on the pully and belt. Folks seem to be having alot of problems this week after oil change, anything is possible . Tell us what it looks like under the cover now.

BFSGREG has my exact problem. If I spilled oil on the belt during change, what can I do? I'd replace the belt but can see no way to remove the drive to get at the pulley. Any advice?

figured out problem
when I pulled off belt cover under deck, I had used compressed air to blow out debris
out, but I had blown debris into front pulley area and that what's caused my problem.
I used compressed air to blow the debris out of front pulley area and now it works fine.
hope your problem is as easy is to fix.

Debris was indeed the problem. I removed the seven screws and pulled off the drive cover. After a good cleaning, I put it all back together and now have a self-propelled mower.
