Deck help

I have a older craftsman garden tractor about 16-18 years old.It is a 46 in. deck I do not have. I do have a craftsman lt 1000 deck from about the same year, it is a 42in. deck. Looking at the book thay kind of look the same. can this work or do I need to find a deck for the gt?. if so how do I go about finding a belt to fit it? Thanks for all the help, David

Well. you have the mower and the deck. Does if look like it will fit? If so, hook it up and see how the pulleys line up. Run a rope around the pulleys in the PTO disengaged position where the belt would go and measure the length.

You can make it work out with a couple brackets to be made.
